We are overwhelmed with gratitude. $16,494.
Welcome to Love, Victory, our fifth annual gala dedicated to the survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. On October 5th, 2024, at Arcadian Loft in Toronto, we gathered not just for an evening, but we came together to offer life long hope, healing, and freedom to children who have endured the unimaginable.
$16,494 raised—a powerful symbol of your love and generosity. Every dollar is more than just a number; it represents a lifeline for sexually exploited children in Southeast Asia through One Body Village Canada. Your generous contributions can sustain their operations for another two years, bringing brighter futures and a promise of both love and victory. Each dollar represents a step toward restoring their childhoods, allowing them to dream again.
We heard from three speakers who shared what trafficking looks like—right here in Canada and across Southeast Asia. We learned of the inspirational success stories of the children we helped support over the years. And we were moved to tears when a volunteer from One Body Village read her dream for the girls we came together to support.
The theme of “Love and Victory” wasn’t just a title—it was a declaration that love can heal, and victory will prevail. With this fundraiser, we have now raised $80,652 for this mission, and your generosity has given women and children something most of them thought they’d never have—a chance at a new life. Some have returned to school, their dreams no longer silenced by fear. Others have started vocational training, learning the skills to stand on their own. A few have even found love and marriage, and many more have been reunited with their families, where they can finally be children again.
This gala was a testament to the extraordinary power of compassion. It was a reminder that when we come together, we can change lives.
To every guest, donor, partner, and sponsor: thank you for opening your hearts. You have rewritten the story of these brave young survivors - one that is now filled with pages of dreams, innocence, and love.
