WOW, our first ever blog post! 

It's almost launch time and we couldn't be more excited!  To combine our overwhelming passion to make the world a better place, one smile at a time, with our love of jewelry and fashion is a dream come true.  But to share it with all of you amazing people has us jumping for joy - literally we're doing happy dances!   You are true ROCKSTAR and we hope we can always remind you of that. 

So a few hours before launch, we at C.J.ROCKER would like to say an enormous "THANK YOU" to all the amazing human beings that have supported us along the way.

It's been quite the journey riddled with setbacks and well, a lot of "pain in the ass" moments, but here we are.  We've arrived!

Hi ROCKSTARS!

2017 has taken off with such a rush, somehow the month of January has left us looking back wondering where the heck the days have gone.  It's been quite a whirlwind for us over here, planning and designing our Spring/Summer collection with such focus and love, we can't wait to unveil it.  Whats also got us crazy excited are the trends of 2017.  Think major statement pieces, more chokers and bling arm candy!  We had you at statement pieces didn't we, because who doesn't love to make a statement!  Okay, so let's run this down.

Statement Necklaces

Forget the small and simple because in 2017, bigger is better (um yes!).   We're looking at long chains with outstanding pendents that add boldness and that deserve the hashtag #bossbae.  Whether it be metals, pearls or colorful stones, anything goes as long as it would be offended if you ever called it "dainty".  

The Raw Stones 

Crystals, minerals, healing stones, no matter what you call them, you'll see lots of them this season!  Goodness, how we love these rocks, considering we did name our self ROCKer!  So to see raw stones return with a vengeance this season may have caused a few high pitched squeals in the office.  We're talking uncut amethyst, quartz and turquoise, all of our favorite little goodies font and center finally grabbing all the attention they deserve.  

Arm Cuff Over Sleeves

Every arm cuff in every jewelry box is rejoicing!  This year, our beloved bangles no longer need to get lost under it's enemy, the sleeve.  Proudly can it sit, confidently on trend over your #ootd, snug on top of your fabric like a tiara on a pretty head.  And really, why should you spend time selecting the right arm candy only to have it hidden under cotton or silk?  And the 3/4 sleeve roll up isn't actually ideal to every outfit.  Really it's a win - win for all, and we're all about win - wins. 

Chokers Big and Small

We do love chokers and this season, any size goes.  From the super fine leather string adorned with crystal detail to major neck wrapping works of art, you're good either way.  Chokers have a way of adding class if you've decided to go edgy and edgy if you've gone classy, yet always with a hint of flirtation.  

 The Ear Cuff With A Twist 

The ear cuff is also back with a vengeance this season but with a caveat!  Simple, crystal cuffs will no longer fly.  We're looking at unique details smartly partnered to bring the cuff to new statement piece status.  From embellished chains, spikes galore and healthy doses of freshwater pearls, our ears have never been more front and center.  

 And there you have it friends, 2017 will be a year of boldly announcing when you enter a room, so make sure you do.  And shouldn't that always be the case, anyway?  No matter what you do in life, make a statement, go big, scream; don't whisper.  And, whatever pieces you choose to adorn you, please make sure you love them, you're too amazing to sport mediocre jewelry.

Hi beautiful Friends, 

It's almost time.  Whether you're clothed in your eggplant velvet OTS Nicolas dress or something more casual, or perhaps you're adorned in your silk Natori nighty, the final hours of 2016 are right before us.  At C.J.ROCKER, we prepared ourselves for 2017 by setting goals for the year ahead, reflecting on the past 365 days and giving thanks and love to all.  It's been a very exciting year for us here.  We launched a dream that has been years in the making and not without fear, obstacles and a few tears.  As we look back, we all can't help but smile and feel a sense of pride at all that has been accomplished.  From the moment where the name "C.J.ROCKER" was born, to contract negotiations then to sample testing, it has been a truly incredible ride.  To website development, our first photoshoot, to the very minute on November 28th, 2016 at 10:14 PM when cjrocker.com finally had a place in this world, the adventure has far surpassed whatever our imaginations could have conjured up, and believe me, some of us here have pretty wild imaginations.  

As I personally reflect on my own year, I have nothing but a genuine smile on my face.  2016, this is what you were to me: 

Letting go of Easy. A simple call that altered everything. Personal growth on freakin' steroids. A wink. A napkin. A pole. A wall. The love. Playing big. The actual appearance of a real life Ninja on a ranch. Roomy "ah ha" moments. Rediscovering the ROCKSTAR that was inside all along. Understanding that happiness is a choice, as is fear. Home run celebrations with amazing human beings. The moment with Mum when a name was born - C.J. ROCKER. Tearful examples of how to be a true giver. New life long friendships to be. Outdoor movie nights and all that came with them. The weekend I started to dream big. Saying "see you" to 7 years of friendships and comfort...and health/dental benefits. Picnics. Not sleeping for a quarter of your 365 days. Endless patios and perfect late night rooftop moments. Life altering scripts. Wine. So much wine. And beautiful conversations about life reflections, 2017 goals, true love, colonizing Mars, parenting and a million other topics that flowed in between every sip. Let me not forget to mention the ridiculous amounts of insane laughter at inappropriate hours of the night. The first time fingers traced over the C.J.ROCKER engraved logo. 5 am meltdowns. New pairs of eyes on 300 pages written so very long ago. A photoshoot.  The birth of three babies. Heartbreaking dinner confessions. Food for my soul sister bonding, wine spills included. Owning my greatness. No longer defending what I believe because I am OK with not easy. And last but not least, wholeheartedly trusting that my life will play out as it should, and that it will be hella #badass.  I am so ready for 2017.  

Whatever comes to your mind as you conduct your own reflections, we here at C.J.ROCKER are behind you, wishing you all that life has to offer.  We have no doubt that you will change the world because your love, talent and power will shine bright next year and every year beyond.  And if sadness is what you feel when you think back, change that.  You have the ability to alter how you feel about your past, change it so that you feel peace instead.  Follow that dream.  The one that terrifies you at the very thought.  The one that is constantly in the back of you mind, whispering "don't forget me."  If you're looking for the perfect time to make your life the best that it can be, today is it.  

And so, on these final hours of 2016, we wish you the Happiest New Years yet.  Be safe, happy, loving and giving.  We will see you in 2017.

Hi lovely Friends, 

As we maneuver around the overcrowded and chaotic retail establishments of our lovely cities, let us remember our yoga breath.  And as we pound the keyboard with Google search after Google search in the hopes of finding The One, let us pause for even a moment and feel the happiness that comes with having loved ones to shop for in the first place.  That we have the means to take part in the search.  That we can make someone else smile.  Now with that moment out of the way, and the frantic-ness settling back in, the hunt continues.  The gift.

Happy weekend, ROCKSTARS,

Can you believe that it's almost the end of the year, we can't.  This year has flown by and that seems to be happening faster and faster!  We here at C.J.ROCKER took a short pause from all things jewelry to start decorating the office with tinsel and bows.  And as we hang our handmade stockings, we were left wondering where to put CJ, our Elf on the Shelf.  After some Googling, and rolling on the floor laughing, we have some ideas.  

And now for our personal favorite...

We hope these at least brought a smile to your gorgeous face - don't forget to spread the love.  By the way, we have a debate going on in the office, which pose do you think we should mimic?

Hi dear Friends, 

Blood.  Sweat.  Tears.  But so much happiness and excitement today.  On November 29th, C.J.ROCKER launched and now has a place in this beautiful world.  The support that the line has received so far has been overwhelming and humbling.  This is just the beginning and we cannot wait to share this experience with all of you.
